Zeqwan began with a simple belief: the Peshawari chappal deserves to be made — and presented — like the classic it is.

For generations, the workshops and bazaars of Peshawar have shaped one of the most recognisable shoes in the world: broad crossover straps, a sturdy layered sole and a heel strap that holds the foot just so.
Worn with a crisp shalwar kameez, it has travelled from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to every corner of Pakistan — and far beyond — without ever losing its character.
Zeqwan keeps that character intact. We work with craftsmen in Peshawar, choose full-grain leather and finish every pair by hand. What changes is the care: in the cut, in the stitch, and in how each pair reaches you.

The making of a pair

The leather
It starts with the hide. We choose leather for its strength and the way it takes a polish — deeper and richer with every month of wear.
The cut
Each panel is marked and cut by hand from patterns refined over generations, so the pair sits true from the very first step.
The stitch
Layers are joined with strong thread, stitch by stitch. It is the slowest part of the work, and the one you notice first.
The finish
The sole is set, the buckle fitted, and every pair is inspected and polished by hand before it is boxed for you.
